I wasn't going to do it. I was going to be the one that held out and did not do the same thing that everyone else did but I have thought and thought about this and become actually rather curious about what others would come up with. I had a fun time thinking of memories of others and reliving some fun and forgotten days of my childhood. So, now that I am in the trenches of my babies childhood I invite you to relive our moments together (either with me or Jared) and share them so that my mind can occupy other things besides diapers, discipline, and lots and lots of wrestling and toy cars.... Enjoy!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Hey Lacey, this is Caroline McDonough... hopefully you remember me... anyway, one time at girls camp, you and Laura Sharples were giant burritos in your sleeping bags and sang the giant burrito song. That was pretty much amazing.
oh good. so glad you finally broke down. We have so many funny memories with you guys from "the springs"... the "home teaching" that was done with 5 families on the last day of the month at wingers, the line jared always seemed to cross with his jokes (father nelson...), the bbqs at matt and nicki's, when everyone rearranged our house to be upside down and jared was so mad he wasn't invited but still helped us put it back together... You've always inspired me to be a better person and a better mother. I truly look up to you so much!
Well, ya know we've been friends for YEARS and YEARS now...hehe....so far my two favorite memories are 1--when you first walked into the church with jared and I was sitting in the foyer and I was like NOWAY--a new Young couple, you were cute and smiley and I was like SWEET, a new friend. My second and most recent memory would be getting to see you dance some hip hop with me and Jess, you were just as lost as me and there was comfort in that!! Sorry I'm missing this weeks, but see you at the new ward boundary meeting! Also--thanks for your comments, I really appreciated those. ;)
My very fondest memory of you will always be when Cade was born. Having the absolute privledge of being able to see my little nephew come into this world was such a miracle in itself. But....the memory that will always be etched in my mind forever was being able to observe your unbelievable strength and courage on that day. Your ability to maintain your composure knowing that Jared was not going to be there for your first born baby and being so willing to have all of us there in the room....well, it was remarkable. You were more beautiful that day than I can ever remember you being...now that is a hard thing to manage, considering you are one of the most beautiful girls in the universe. Thank you for letting me share a piece of your wonderful self on that grand day.
Just a few of my favorite memories of my Lace-Face.
*The first night I met you...we were in Candra's grandpa's basement. You were wearing your jagged levi skirt (that I always coveted) and I thought you were the hippest thing ever.
*You trying to teach me how to dance at our first BYU-I dance together (something about moving your hips with the beat...)
*Discussions about how having an apartment with the living room and kitchen connected makes you eat more
*Being freshman and thinking we were so lucky we didn't act like them (ya right)
*How sad I was when you decided to be an RA and we weren't going to be roommates anymore
*The double date we went to Pineview with the kid I tutored and his roommate.
*Our faux "FHE brother" that loved you (and had an Ensign article about being bitten by a snake)
*The list could go on forever...when is that reunion we were all going to have again!
Hey Lacey! I just saw you had a blog too on Ashley's. Well this memory is from the other day when you had Kade show us his muscles and where muscle beach is. What a cute and funny kid!
The memory I have is when you were pregnant with Cade. You and Jared were out in Ohio and we were in the guest room upstairs (now dad's office). Jared and and I were sitting on the bed and you were laying down on the floor. All of the sudden you BUST up laughing. You were laughing so hard you couldn't even tell us what you were laughing at. Between gasps of air you would say, "My belly button... my belly button is sticking out!!"
That's one of my fondest memories of you. I love you, sis!
Hey Dolly, I have so many memories of you...here is one of them........In June of 1987 we were traveling through Europe and the Soviet Union. During that time we had a chance to meet Mikhail Gorbachev, You said to him,"Mr. Gorbachev, we've seen the wall that separates Germany" you then said "for the good of the world Mr. Gorbachev, ..... tear down this wall!". I still remember how overjoyed you were just a short time later when the wall came down....I think your words will be recorded in every history book from that time forward....
Love Dad
