The Carousel

This weekend they opened a new carousel at the District so we headed down to check it out. They had some treats and jugglers to distract the little ones from the long line that they had to wait in. So, naturally, the pop corn was a definite hit in Cades book. He chowed down and before we knew it we were ready to pick our horse and ride on.

Cade is such a cheese ball but he was so proud of his horse!

"look mom, NO hands!" I think that secretly Jared was just as proud of his horse and excited as Cade was.

Just my sweet little guy as happy and content as can be.

The bubbles were also a total hit for Cade. He could have blown bubbles for hours but couldn't quite understand why the bottle disappeared so quickly. I tried and tried to explain to him that he couldn't tip the bottle to get the bubbles out or they would pour all over the ground...but the mystery was never quite solved in his cute little mind.

Then tragedy struck... the balloon flew away! Cade was not interested in his balloon at all and I was the one that had to carry it around for the day. However, when his friend Luke showed up and was loving his balloon so naturally Cade all of a sudden realized that he too had a balloon. The boys were running around with their balloons when Cades came untied from his wrist and "flew up to the birds" as he put it. It was a sad moment and other balloons just couldn't quite fill the void of the original. The difficulties of a 2-year-old.

Cade and Luke took another ride on the carousel and thought they were pretty cool kids.

They ended the day with some rocks and were fulfilled. We had a great time and are loving the nice weather and the time that we get to go out together.

Lacey,

Cade is getting so big and handsome. I love the bed you refinished for him. I know that was a lot of work. It will be so exciting to see Cade with his brother. I can just picture them playing pirates, superheroes, and other fun things on that bed. Thanks for the glimpse into your beautiful lives.

much love,
anne

I love that you take pictures of every moment and not just the good ones. That picture when Cade lost his balloon is classic. Looks like Jared had fun too.

It was so fun finally meeting you at Costco today!! You are very observant- I am just a tired pregnant lady trying to get stuff done before the baby comes:)
Where is the carousel at the district? I haven't heard about it.
Anyways- we will definitely have to get together soon.

What cute pictures Lacey! I love the ones of Cade and his Daddy! Luke sure is going to miss his friend Cade when we move to Michigan. All he's been talking about the last few days is how he wants to go to Cade's house! You guys are a darling little family.
